TE BURRI
Conditioning for the martial artist is based on mastering three fundamentals; posture, breath, and movement. Conditioning drills are an important part of mastering tai-jitsu. These drills are derived from the Shaolin 18 Lohan and Muscle Changing exercises.
Bodhidharma, the famous Zen Patriarch, brought the 18 Lohan(fig 1-2) and Muscle Changing exercises to the Shaolin Temple in the sixth century. These two sets of moving meditation, were the training methods of the Kshatriya warrior caste of ancient India.
